PICK MY BRAIN

There are moments in life that change you as a person. Meeting Maxine Cunningham, CEO of Pick My Brain, at the NO/BS conference in February 2020 was definitely one of them. Max was a keynote speaker and had the entire crowd captivated by her journey as a startup Founder and the future plans for this truly one-of-a-kind tech platform.

Pick My Brain brings smart and interesting people from all over the world together to buy, sell and gift knowledge. It’s a new way of generating income and fostering global exchange that doesn’t rely on products or a supply chain: they’re literally building a knowledge economy that trades on conversations, 1:1 session, mentoring and more.

Max and I clicked from the get-go and when she introduced me to her co-Founder, Brett Crowe, it became obvious that I needed to be a part of what they were dreaming up. It started with a package of hours each month for copywriting support and evolved into a creative collaboration with a distributed core team, including a designer and an educator (both in Vancouver) and a diversity and inclusion expert from the UK.

For Pick My Brain, I’ve created:

  • Website copy
  • Email newsletters
  • Naming events and projects
  • UX instructional copy for the platform’s backend, and
  • Social media copy, as well as other creative brainstorming.

Maxine describes me as “the heart and soul of Pick My Brains copy and creativity” (I’M NOT CRYING, YOU’RE CRYING!) and I look forward to being part of the revolution they’re on the cusp of igniting.
